Illuminating Yellow

Every year, Pantone selects a Color of the Year. This color (or colors) drives everything from graphic design to fashion design to marketing, and of course, weddings. I have wanted the COTY to be yellow for about four years now. It's bright, colorful, cheerful, and fun. And I just generally want more of it in my life.

At the beginning of this year, I got together with Sara of Sarandipity Photography for a last minute styled shoot featuring yellow, complimented by purple. Her space was perfect for it, as the wallpaper over her mantel matched the colors perfectly. She also happened to be doing an anniversary session that day, so this provided the perfect backdrop. While this palette definitely makes a statement, it was certainly fun to play with! Now seemed like a perfect time to share this shoot in all its glory, since Illuminating Yellow was chosen as one of the colors of the year, alongside Ultimate Gray Enjoy!
