Long View Gallery in Washington DC: Real Wedding Color Palette Inspiration

You're newly engaged and planning a wedding, YAY! First thing is first, let's narrow down our colors. Do we like dark, moody tones, or fun, bright vibes? Or maybe a soft neutral with a pop of color? Think about your venue and select colors that will compliment it. Then, think about the guest experience and how you want your guests to feel. Next, talk to your florist about how you florals can bring that vision to life!

Let's see it in action with a real wedding! Start with the inspiration. Deep moody tones, with touches of yellow and peach to keep things from getting too dark. Pacific Northwest Rainforest vibes - all the moss, and all the ferns! Lots of hanging elements and elevated centerpieces to bring up the eye. Lots of greenery to soften the industrial feel of the venue. Lean in to seasonality and ask your florist to work with local flower farms to get the freshest flowers available.

Watch us bring this moody, organic color palette to life in Long View Gallery's industrial blank space in the heart of Washington D.C.!

This wedding really let our fabrication team shine with 3 separate custom hanging installations. We are obsessed with how Love Life Images captured these pieces. Between the suspended illusion arch straight from the PNW, to the large elevated centerpieces drawing our eyes up to fill the space- I think we nailed the vibe. The tables covered in organically laid moss and stone bud vases with the bold colors of our local flowers paired with our perfectly curated modern votives and pillars. We hand crafted 150 mini dried flower terrariums as escort cards and favors for each guest. Every piece came together perfectly and we couldn't be happier with this color palette inspiration turned real life!!
